IrisReveal Terms of Use
Effective Date: September 23, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the IrisReveal mobile application (“IrisReveal,” the “App,” or the “Service”).
IrisReveal is operated by Drone Light Events, LLC, doing business as Light of Your Iris (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
By accessing or using IrisReveal, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App or submit photographs through it.
1. Purpose of IrisReveal
IrisReveal is an artistic photography application that allows users to capture and submit close-up photographs of an eye and visible iris for the creation of personalized iris artwork.
The App may provide instructions intended to help users capture a photograph suitable for artistic processing.
IrisReveal is not a facial-recognition, iris-recognition, biometric-identification, medical, diagnostic, health-analysis, security, or authentication service.
2. Eligibility
You must be legally capable of agreeing to these Terms in the jurisdiction where you reside.
If you are under 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must authorize your use of IrisReveal and the submission of your photograph.
You may not submit a photograph of another person unless:
that person has authorized you to submit it; or
you are that person's parent or legal guardian and have authority to provide consent on their behalf.
A parent or legal guardian who submits a photograph of a minor represents that they have the authority to submit the image and authorize its processing.
3. Photographs You Submit
You retain ownership of photographs you submit through IrisReveal.
By submitting a photograph through IrisReveal, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to:
receive;
store;
copy;
crop;
edit;
enhance;
resize;
process; and
otherwise use
the photograph only as reasonably necessary to provide the IrisReveal service and create and deliver the requested iris artwork.
This license does not grant us permission to use photographs submitted through IrisReveal for advertising, social media, or promotional purposes.
Our collection and handling of submitted photographs is further described in the IrisReveal Privacy Policy.
4. Your Responsibilities
You represent and warrant that:
information you submit through IrisReveal is accurate to the best of your knowledge;
you have the legal right to submit any photograph you provide;
your submission does not violate another person's privacy, intellectual-property, publicity, or other legal rights;
you will not use IrisReveal for an unlawful purpose; and
you will comply with these Terms and applicable law.
You are responsible for obtaining permission from any other person whose photograph you submit.
5. Prohibited Uses
You may not use IrisReveal to:
submit photographs without the subject's permission or appropriate legal authority;
impersonate another person;
attempt to identify another person using biometric methods;
use IrisReveal for surveillance;
use IrisReveal for medical diagnosis or health analysis;
upload illegal, harmful, abusive, fraudulent, or infringing material;
interfere with or disrupt the App or its supporting systems;
attempt to gain unauthorized access to servers, accounts, data, or systems;
introduce malware, malicious code, or harmful technology;
scrape or automatically extract data from the App without authorization;
reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the App except where applicable law expressly permits it;
circumvent security or technical restrictions;
copy or commercially exploit the App or its software without authorization; or
use IrisReveal in a way that violates applicable law or another person's rights.
6. Artistic Use Only
IrisReveal processes photographs containing the visible iris solely for artistic purposes.
IrisReveal does not use iris photographs to:
identify a person;
authenticate a person;
verify identity;
unlock a device or service;
perform biometric matching;
perform facial recognition; or
perform iris recognition.
You should not rely on IrisReveal for identification, authentication, security, medical, diagnostic, or health-related purposes.
7. No Medical or Health Advice
IrisReveal does not provide medical services, medical advice, eye examinations, diagnoses, or health assessments.
Neither a submitted photograph nor artwork created through IrisReveal should be interpreted as:
a medical examination;
a diagnosis;
an assessment of eye health;
an assessment of general health; or
an iridology analysis.
If you have concerns about your eyes, vision, or health, you should consult an appropriately qualified health-care professional.
8. Image Quality and Artistic Results
The quality of a photograph submitted through IrisReveal depends on factors that may be outside our control, including:
camera capabilities;
focus;
lighting;
movement;
reflections;
eyelashes;
eyelids;
pupil size;
distance from the camera;
image compression; and
how closely the user follows the App's capture instructions.
We may determine that a submitted photograph is not suitable for creating acceptable iris artwork and may request that the user submit another photograph.
The creation of iris artwork involves artistic and photographic judgment.
Editing may include:
cropping;
isolating the iris;
enhancing photographic detail;
reducing reflections or other obstructions;
resizing;
upscaling;
color adjustment; and
other artistic processing.
Exact reproduction of the eye as viewed in person is not guaranteed.
9. Intellectual Property
IrisReveal and its:
software;
user interface;
branding;
graphics;
text;
instructions;
logos;
designs;
technology; and
other proprietary content
are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
These Terms grant you only the limited rights necessary to use IrisReveal for its intended purpose.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, license, sell, or commercially exploit IrisReveal or its underlying technology except with our written permission or as otherwise permitted by law.
10. Completed Artwork
Subject to any applicable payment requirements and third-party rights, completed personalized iris artwork delivered to you may be used by you for personal purposes.
Your receipt or purchase of completed artwork does not transfer ownership of:
the IrisReveal software;
trademarks;
logos;
proprietary editing techniques;
templates;
design systems; or
other underlying intellectual property used to create the artwork.
We do not receive permission to use your submitted IrisReveal photograph or completed artwork for promotional purposes merely because you use the App.
11. Privacy
Your use of IrisReveal is subject to the IrisReveal Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy explains:
what information IrisReveal collects;
how eye and iris photographs are handled;
how Face Data is used;
where information is stored;
which service providers may process information;
how long photographs are retained;
how photographs can be deleted; and
your privacy choices.
By submitting a photograph, you acknowledge that the photograph must be transferred from your device and processed as described in the Privacy Policy in order for us to provide the requested service.
12. Third-Party Services
IrisReveal may rely on third-party technology and service providers for functions such as:
cloud storage;
data transmission;
application infrastructure;
image processing;
image editing; and
digital-file delivery.
Third-party services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
We are not responsible for independent third-party services outside our reasonable control, except as required by applicable law.
13. App Stores
If you download IrisReveal through an application marketplace such as the Apple App Store or Google Play, your use of the App may also be subject to that marketplace's applicable terms.
These Terms are between you and us and not between you and Apple or Google.
Apple and Google are not responsible for operating IrisReveal or providing the IrisReveal service except to the extent expressly required by their applicable terms or law.
14. Fees and Purchases
Some IrisReveal services, artwork, products, upgrades, or fulfillment options may require payment.
Any applicable price will be disclosed before a purchase is completed.
Additional terms displayed at the time of purchase may apply to a particular transaction.
Because personalized iris artwork is custom-created for an individual user, refunds may be limited after production has begun, except where a refund is required by law or expressly offered at the time of purchase.
Nothing in these Terms limits consumer-protection rights that cannot legally be waived.
15. Availability of IrisReveal
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue portions of IrisReveal from time to time.
We do not guarantee that IrisReveal will always operate without interruption or error.
Temporary interruptions may occur because of:
maintenance;
software updates;
network conditions;
third-party service interruptions;
security concerns; or
circumstances outside our reasonable control.
16. Updates
We may release updates to IrisReveal to:
add or change functionality;
improve performance;
correct errors;
enhance security; or
comply with legal or application-platform requirements.
Some functionality may require installation of the latest version of IrisReveal.
17. Suspension or Termination
We may restrict or terminate access to IrisReveal if we reasonably believe a user:
violated these Terms;
used the App unlawfully;
created a security risk;
interfered with operation of the App; or
violated another person's rights.
You may stop using IrisReveal at any time.
Deletion of previously submitted photographs is governed by the IrisReveal Privacy Policy.
18. Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IRISREVEAL IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.”
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:
IRISREVEAL WILL ALWAYS BE AVAILABLE;
IRISREVEAL WILL BE COMPLETELY ERROR-FREE;
EVERY PHOTOGRAPH WILL BE SUITABLE FOR IRIS ARTWORK;
EVERY DEVICE WILL PRODUCE THE SAME IMAGE QUALITY; OR
THE RESULTING ARTWORK WILL MEET EVERY USER'S SUBJECTIVE ARTISTIC EXPECTATIONS.
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN WARRANTY DISCLAIMERS, SO SOME OF THESE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
19. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE IRISREVEAL.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Applicable consumer rights remain unaffected.
20. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Drone Light Events, LLC from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, or expenses arising from:
photographs or content you submit without the required permission or rights;
your unlawful use of IrisReveal;
your violation of these Terms; or
your infringement of another person's rights.
This provision does not apply where prohibited by applicable law.
21. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where the laws of your jurisdiction require otherwise.
Nothing in these Terms limits consumer protections or legal rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
22. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms if IrisReveal's functionality, business practices, legal requirements, or application-platform requirements change.
The current version will display an updated Effective Date.
If a change materially affects your rights, additional notice may be provided when appropriate or legally required.
23. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the IrisReveal Privacy Policy and any additional terms presented for a specific transaction or feature, govern your use of IrisReveal.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
Our failure to enforce a provision does not waive our right to enforce that provision later.
