IrisReveal Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the IrisReveal mobile application (“IrisReveal” or the “App”) collects, uses, stores, shares, retains, and deletes information.
IrisReveal is operated by Drone Light Events, LLC, doing business as Light of Your Iris (“we,” “us,” or “our”).
IrisReveal allows users to capture and submit close-up photographs of an eye and visible iris for the purpose of creating personalized iris artwork.
1. Information We Collect
When you use IrisReveal, we may collect:
your name;
your mobile number (optional);
your email address;
photographs that you voluntarily capture and submit through the App;
photographs containing an eye, visible iris, and surrounding eye area;
information you provide when contacting us regarding your submission or artwork; and
limited technical information necessary to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the App.
We collect this information only as reasonably necessary to receive your photographs, create your requested iris artwork, communicate with you, and deliver your completed artwork.
2. Eye and Iris Photographs and Face Data
For purposes of this Privacy Policy and applicable platform requirements, photographs submitted through IrisReveal that contain an eye, iris, or surrounding facial area are referred to as “Face Data.”
Face Data We Collect
IrisReveal collects photographs voluntarily captured and submitted by the user.
The intended photograph is a close-up image of the visible iris and surrounding eye area. Depending on how the photograph is framed, a limited portion of the surrounding face may also appear.
IrisReveal does not collect or create:
Face ID data;
TrueDepth facial data;
facial maps;
face meshes;
facial geometry;
facial coordinates;
facial landmark templates;
facial-recognition templates;
iris-recognition templates;
biometric authentication credentials; or
biometric identity profiles.
IrisReveal does not perform facial recognition, iris recognition, or biometric identification.
3. How We Use Face Data
Face Data submitted through IrisReveal is used only to provide the iris-art service requested by the user.
Submitted photographs may be used to:
determine whether the photograph is suitable for creating iris artwork;
locate and isolate the visible iris;
crop and position the iris;
enhance photographic detail and image quality;
reduce or remove glare, reflections, eyelashes, shadows, or other photographic obstructions;
resize or upscale the image when appropriate;
perform professional photographic editing;
create personalized iris artwork;
prepare the completed artwork for delivery;
deliver the completed artwork; and
address corrections, image-quality concerns, delivery issues, or customer-support requests.
Professional image-editing software, including automated or AI-assisted image-enhancement tools, may be used as part of the artistic editing process.
4. How We Do Not Use Face Data
Face Data submitted through IrisReveal is not used to:
identify or authenticate a person;
unlock an account, device, application, or location;
perform facial recognition;
perform iris recognition;
perform biometric matching;
compare an image against a facial, iris, or biometric identification database;
create a biometric identity profile;
determine a person's identity;
perform medical, health, diagnostic, or iridology analysis;
infer sensitive personal characteristics;
make decisions regarding employment, credit, insurance, housing, health care, education, or eligibility;
track users across unrelated apps or services;
build advertising profiles;
target advertising;
market or advertise products or services using the submitted image;
train facial-recognition systems;
train iris-recognition systems; or
train biometric-identification systems.
Face Data submitted through IrisReveal is not used for advertising, promotional, or marketing purposes.
We do not sell Face Data.
5. User Consent and Photo Submission
Submitting an eye or iris photograph through IrisReveal is voluntary.
Before photographs are submitted from the user's device, the App informs the user that the photographs will be uploaded and processed for the purpose of creating and delivering personalized iris artwork.
The user must affirmatively consent before the photographs are submitted for processing.
If a user does not consent, the user should not submit the photographs.
Photographs captured through IrisReveal are not intentionally saved to the user's personal photo library as part of the normal submission process.
6. Where Face Data Is Stored
Photographs submitted through IrisReveal are transferred through the App's technical infrastructure so they can be received and processed.
Submitted photographs may be stored using Google Drive and related Google cloud services used for file storage and management.
Photographs may also be downloaded to password-protected computers or devices used for professional image editing and creation of the requested artwork.
We do not maintain a searchable facial-recognition, iris-recognition, or biometric-identification database.
7. Third Parties That May Process Face Data
We use third-party service providers only as reasonably necessary to operate IrisReveal and create or deliver the iris artwork requested by the user.
These may include:
Google services, including Google Drive, may be used to store and manage submitted photographs and related files.
Image-Editing Software
Professional image-editing tools may be used to crop, enhance, retouch, resize, upscale, or otherwise prepare submitted photographs and completed artwork.
These tools may include Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop, and Topaz image-processing software.
Digital Delivery Services
Completed digital artwork may be delivered using WeTransfer or another digital-file delivery service.
App Infrastructure Providers
Technical providers supporting IrisReveal may temporarily process submitted images to the extent necessary to transmit information from the App to us.
Third-party service providers are permitted to process Face Data only to the extent reasonably necessary to provide their applicable service.
We do not authorize third-party providers to use IrisReveal Face Data for:
their own advertising;
marketing;
behavioral profiling;
facial recognition;
iris recognition;
biometric identification;
data brokerage; or
unrelated purposes.
Face Data is not sold, rented, licensed, or intentionally provided to advertisers, advertising networks, data brokers, information resellers, or third-party marketing companies.
8. How Long We Retain Face Data
Original photographs submitted through IrisReveal are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to create, deliver, and support the requested artwork.
Original submitted photographs are normally retained for no more than 90 days after the completed artwork has been delivered to the user.
This retention period allows us to address:
image-quality concerns;
corrections;
artwork revisions;
delivery problems; and
reasonable customer-support requests.
If an artwork revision, support request, dispute, or delivery issue remains unresolved at the end of the normal retention period, the applicable images may be retained until the matter is resolved.
Images may also be retained longer if:
the user specifically requests or authorizes continued retention; or
retention is required by applicable law.
When the applicable retention period ends, eligible original image files are deleted from active storage.
9. Deleting Face Data
Users may request deletion of eligible photographs submitted through IrisReveal at any time.
Deletion requests should be sent to:

Please include sufficient information for us to identify your submission, such as the name and email address used when submitting your photographs.
We may take reasonable steps to verify a deletion request before deleting information.
After a valid deletion request is processed, applicable Face Data will be removed from active records unless temporary continued retention is required:
by law;
for security or fraud prevention;
to complete an active request from the user; or
to resolve an active dispute or support issue.
Deletion of photographs does not necessarily require deletion of separate business or transaction records that do not contain Face Data and that we are legally required to maintain.
10. Other Personal Information
We may use your name, email address, mobile phone number, and other information submitted through IrisReveal to:
associate submitted photographs with the correct user;
communicate regarding the submitted photographs;
create and deliver requested artwork;
provide customer support;
notify you when artwork is ready; and
maintain records reasonably necessary to operate the IrisReveal service.
We do not sell personal contact information collected through IrisReveal to data brokers or advertisers.
11. Marketing
Face Data collected through IrisReveal is not used for advertising or marketing.
Submitting a photograph through IrisReveal does not grant us permission to use your:
original photograph;
eye image;
iris image;
completed artwork; or
likeness
in advertising, social media, promotional materials, or marketing.
Any promotional use would require separate and voluntary authorization from you.
12. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information collected through IrisReveal.
These measures may include:
password-protected accounts and devices;
access restrictions;
reputable cloud-storage providers;
limiting access to people who need the information to provide the requested service; and
retention and deletion practices intended to reduce unnecessary storage.
No electronic transmission, cloud-storage service, or computer system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
13. Children and Minors
IrisReveal is intended for use by adults or with the authorization and involvement of a parent or legal guardian.
If a photograph is submitted for a person under 18 years of age, the submission must be made or authorized by that person's parent or legal guardian.
We do not knowingly request that a child under 13 independently submit personal information or photographs through IrisReveal.
A parent or legal guardian submitting a photograph of a minor represents that they have the authority to provide the photograph and consent to its processing for creation of the requested iris artwork.
14. Your Privacy Choices
You may contact us to:
ask how your information is being used;
request correction of inaccurate information;
request deletion of eligible Face Data;
withdraw consent for eligible future processing; or
ask questions about our privacy practices.
If consent for continued processing is withdrawn before the requested artwork is completed, we may be unable to complete the service.

15. No Biometric Authentication or Identification
IrisReveal is an artistic photography application.
Although IrisReveal processes photographs containing a visible iris, those images are not used to identify, authenticate, recognize, or verify an individual.
We do not create or maintain biometric authentication templates or biometric identification profiles from photographs submitted through IrisReveal.
16. Legal Requirements
We may disclose information if we reasonably believe disclosure is required by applicable law, legal process, court order, or valid governmental request.
We may also use or disclose information when reasonably necessary to protect the security, rights, or property of IrisReveal, our users, or others.
We do not voluntarily provide Face Data to third parties for unrelated commercial purposes.
17. International Processing
IrisReveal is operated from the United States.
Information submitted through the App may be processed or stored in the United States or in other locations where our service providers operate, subject to applicable law and the protections described in this Privacy Policy.
18. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if IrisReveal's functionality, service providers, data practices, or legal requirements change.
When this Privacy Policy is updated, the revised version will display a new Effective Date.
If a change materially affects how Face Data is collected or used, additional notice or consent will be provided when required.
