IrisReveal

Support

IrisReveal is a free app from Light of Your Iris. It guides you through photographing an iris close up and sending those photographs to the studio. If something is not working, or you want your photographs removed, email us.

Common questions

How do I take a usable iris photograph?

Ask someone else to hold the phone and photograph your eye with the rear camera while you look toward the lens. Hold it about 1–2 inches away, let the continuous light settle so the pupil narrows, and take 6–10 photographs with small changes in distance and angle. The alignment guide on screen shows how much of the iris is in frame.

What happens after I submit?

You get a confirmation email straight away. Light of Your Iris reviews every set by hand and contacts you within 48 hours to say whether the photographs are suitable.

I did not get the confirmation email

Check the spam folder first, then email us. A mistyped address is the usual cause and we can correct it.

Do I need an account?

No. IrisReveal has no sign up and no login, and submitting photographs is free. It does not commit you to buying anything.

How do I have my photographs deleted?

Email admin@lightofyouriris.com and ask. Original photographs are normally kept for no more than 90 days after artwork has been delivered, and you can ask for them to be removed before that. The privacy policy sets out what is stored and for how long.

Is IrisReveal a medical or identification app?

No. It is for artistic iris photography. The photographs are used only as source images for artwork, never to identify, authenticate or diagnose anyone.

What do I need to run it?

An iPhone running iOS 15 or later, or an Android phone running Android 7.0 or later, with a working rear camera and an internet connection.
